Network Connection Unreasonable

Solution: First check if cable is well connected. If cable is normally connected, it still displays local disconnection, you may change Internet hookup with classmates in the same dormitory. If it works, it shows the cable is fine and Internet hookup is broken you may telephone and report for repair in Internet Information Center.

Unable to authenticate

Solution: This scenario is mainly caused by disruption of innate 802.1x of XP and by conflict with authentication client. So click “Online Neighbor”, “Local Connection Attribute”, remove 802.1x function of TCP/IP authentication, and authentication can pass.

Authentication can pass but you are unable to surf online

Solution: check whether you acquire IP address. Click start menu, operate, enter cmd, enter ipconfig/all in an emergent DNS command box to see if the following command line can get correct IP address, for example, 121.194.X.X。if you can get address, please kill virus if you are still unable to surf online, and use software to recover the setup of default browser.

Authentication can pass but you are unable to surf online (Static address: including Student Dormitory No. 8, Relative Building in Northeast Corner, Young Teacher Building, East Tower Building, Building No. 7, West Tower Building as well as Qinghe Campus)

Authentication Client Common Error and Methods of Eliminating Errors

Once operating, client disappears. What to do with this error?

Answer: the possible reason for the fault is that user’s computer sets up many DNS or IP addresses with system having system32.exe being an accelerator possibly due to Trojan program masquerading other names, which may lead to the above error; error solution is as follows: correctly set up IP address (only set up address provided by Network Information Center) and DNS address (within 2)

What about Error Information of Client Prompt of Not Finding Proper Network Card?

Answer: the reason for the fault is that due to installation of proxy software it does not conform to the environment where client is operating. Solution is to cloze or uninstall proxy server as well as software on its way to becoming proxy server.

Answer: the reason for the fault is that WINXP adopts the function of innate 802.1X; solution is that you double click internet connection icon and untick “Innate 802.1X ID authentication under the label of ID authentication in Attribute.
