Question:
When students surf online, they are often faced with “Forced Offline by Administrator” and do not know why.
Answer:
Many students mistake this problem for forced client offline carried out by teachers who are responsible for cyber, but this is not true. When Rujie client is incongruous with server correspondence, Ruiie client gives users such a prompt of “Forced Offline by Administrators”.
This problem happens when students download videos and watch videos, especially when they use Xunlei P2P software. Even if downloading tools are not used often, when browsing webpage videos, many accelerated plug-in units remind users to install, for example, “Feihuyingyin” of Sohu vidoes and iCool accelerators in Youku. To improve browsing speed, most users choose to install these plug-in units. These plug-in units are similar to P2P downloading tool both of whom download first, and then save a segment of data to improve browsing speed. The operations of such plug-in units easily lead to malfunctioning of Ruijie client and server correspondence. A prompt of “Forced Offline by Administrator” is sent by Ruijie client.
Solution:
New version client (4.34 version) has already fixed this problem. If students need to install client end of this version, please visit “Downloads” on Internet Information Center Homepage(http://nic.cufe.edu.cn)to request from teachers in Internet Information Center. But the drawback is that it does not support library WIFI access.
Special Reminder:
Because Ruijie client (4.34 version) cannot use WIFI in the library, so users of this client are suitable for cable network.
